I believe theatre is essential.

I DIRECT theatre. I focus on developing new work, and on fostering diversity wherever, whenever, and however I can.

I TEACH theatre. Currently I teach at New York University, Bronx Community College, and the School of Visual Arts. I've also taught at the University of Pittsburgh, The New School, and Yale University.

I WRITE ABOUT theatre - both theatre reviews and theoretical analysis. In all of my writing, I focus on the politics of race, gender, and sexuality.
